You may feel like you’re being pulled in a million directions. Every day you’re delicately navigating the complexities of client engagement. Overwhelm sets in when you’re managing so many competing priorities and putting out a thousand-and-one fires. You start to feel paralysed by your insurmountable to-do list and accumulating email inbox. Where do you start? How do you manage so many peculiar and demanding requests? How do you deal with so many different personality types? It feels like a never-ending labyrinth.
As a hands on CEO, I work across all facets of the business. I’ve supported countless Property Managers to take control of their businesses. I am here to help you manage your workflow and your headspace, so you can unlock your potential.
Phase one involves understanding your value. Your role is important, so start thinking of yourself as a Property Investment Manager. Landlords all over are entrusting you with the management of one of their most valuable assets. Ask yourself, how can I improve a landlord’s return? What can I do to improve the client experience?
Tip #1: REFRAME YOUR THINKING.
Tenants are depending on you too. Ask yourself, do you engage with your tenants with positivity and kindness? Are you setting the gold standard? Make it your mission to make a difference in the word of real estate by putting other people first.
Tip #2: ENHANCE YOUR INTERACTIONS.
I empower Property Managers to enhance the customer experience they provide and manage their workflow efficiently through powerful coaching which challenges their mindset. I encourage you to focus on the things you can control - like your perspective and your processes. When things get out of control and overwhelm sets in, try to compartmentalise and tackle one task at a time. Action the most difficult items first. Do it early in the day.
Tip #3: PROCESS ALWAYS WINS.
Approach your day with structure. Make sure you’re completing your daily, weekly and monthly deliverables. Be solution focused, but don’t wear other peoples’ problems. You can be considerate, and have empathy for their situation, without letting their burdens weigh heavy on your shoulders.
Tip #4: YOU CAN’T SAVE THE WORLD, BUT YOU CAN SHOW YOU CARE.
As a Property Manager, your day will take unexpected twists and turns. Applying structure to your day isn’t easy, but my mentorship program will equip you with the systems and processes you need to manage your day, so you can manage your headspace.
