It’s right to say that a career in real estate is a rollercoaster. Nothing quite compares to the exhilaration of securing a listing, or successfully negotiating a sale. When it rains, it pours, but when the market is tough, and your pipeline dries up, it’s really tough.
So how do you find consistency, in the ever-changing real estate landscape, when your livelihood is governed by your performance?
You have to focus on actions instead of fixating on outcomes. You have to focus on reframing.
When you fall victim to the self-sabotaging mindset that the market conditions dictate your success, you stop evolving. You shrink into a place of negativity instead of opportunity.
The truth is, you’re in control of your destiny through your actions. You win some, you lose some, but true consistency in performance is the result of the compounding effect of the daily habits.
TIP #1
FOCUS ON ACTIONS NOT OUTCOMES
Take control of your mindset and focus on cultivating the right energy. Fuel your body with the right nutrition. Meditate and exercise daily. Communicate your impact through actions, not buzz words.
Remove distraction, roll up your sleeves and focus. Remember, it takes 30 days to build a habit. The first 30 days are tough. After that, it’s part of your wheelhouse.
TIP #2
FEED YOUR MIND THE GOOD STUFF
Approach each day with structure. Do you have an ideal week? Do you know your numbers? Are you re-evaluating them regularly based on the ever-changing market conditions? You need to know your numbers to perform at a certain level.
The name of the game is creating opportunities. Leverage your ability to connect with as many as people as possible every day to increase your chances. Even in a tough market, people will always need to buy and sell.
Do you settle for mediocrity or strive for greatness? Focus on consistency, and the success will follow. It’s a universal theme. Ask any great leader. Make sure you hit your non negotiable KPI’s every day. Even when you don’t feel like it, don’t rest until you do. If you don’t deviate, and you stay focused, you will have a very rewarding career in real estate.
TIP #3
YOU'RE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE
